Positive Reviews
positive:
A lot here to be impressed by
Some of the rooms have scenic views of the pool. The bathrooms have recently been renovated and there is no problem with getting a hot and relaxing shower. The breakfast bar has both hot and cold items. Overall, there is a lot to be impressed with in this stay for the great price paid.
positive:
In a popular tourist area
The hotel is not located in the centre of Marrakech, but is still right in the middle of a popular tourist area, in the heart of the Guilez district. There is plenty to do, and all within walking distance including shops, restaurants, and a variety of day tour companies.
positive:
Seems better than 3 stars
The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and functional. They are cleaned daily and the linens exchanged. There is a pool, garden, and patio areas for relaxing, plus an onsite restaurant and bar.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Not the lap of luxury
Remember this is not a palace. Some rooms do feel dated and the linen shows signs of wear and tear. WiFi is only available in the common areas. It's above a budget stay, but you won't be living in the lap of luxury.
negative:
Money, money, money
A lot of the extra items in the hotel are overpriced. The restaurant will charge for both water and fresh fruit and these prices are much higher than at area restaurants. Also, the hotel charges extra for items, including broken light bulbs, and a hefty tip is expected for each service offered.
negative:
A lot that doesn't work
There are a lot of features around the hotel that don't work consistently. The pool is frigid and not cleaned very often. The bar is often closed for the duration of the week. Also, the water and electricity are frequently shut off without explanation.
