Positive Reviews
positive:
Prime location.
While a few guests were discouraged by the uninviting street that Helvetia was located on, most were willing to overlook this in favour of the close proximity to attractions. The train station couldn't have been closer, and other methods of transportation like the airport shuttle and tour bus stop were also within a short walk.
positive:
Bavarian hospitality.
Guests found front desk personnel to be courteous and polite. Pleasant interactions were reported by the majority of guests, and many wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel based on a number of factors, one of which was outstanding customer service.
positive:
A nice place to return to.
Guests looked forward to returning to their rooms, which they described as nicely decorated and practical. Room size was a problem for some, but many were satisfied with clean accommodation that provided good value without the big city prices.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Beds not the best.
A few visitors to this hotel immediately noticed the poor bed set-up. Double beds were in fact two single beds pushed together on some occasions, which proved to be an uncomfortable circumstance for couples. Mattress quality was also questionable, with several guests wishing for a newer bed to rest their head.
negative:
Noise might travel.
Street sounds such as traffic and general pedestrian noise were sometimes a concern for guests. External noise was found to be bothersome at inconvenient times like early in the morning and late at night. Most found that windows did the job to drown out any disturbances, but rooms facing the street might be a problem for some.
negative:
Wi-Fi woes.
Inconsistent Wi-Fi was a common problem here. Guests would get connected, only to find the signal dropping just minutes later. Many recommended considering alternative Internet sources if Wi-Fi is important to you.
