Positive Reviews
positive:
A fair choice of B+B.
It's really handy for those attending Newark Antique Fair and other attractions that are staged throughout the year. Newark, itself can get quite busy and noisy at these times, so Willow Tree Cottages is a peaceful place to return to at the end of a hectic day.
positive:
Welcoming hosts and a perfectly good breakfast.
Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in a really spacious breakfast room. There's plenty of choice and it is well prepared and presented; no problems. Later dining isn't a problem either, as there are several easy to get to restaurants. Plus, there's the pub next door where their steak pie is among the best ever! Other dishes are equally appealing.
positive:
Good room facilities.
First of all, the accommodation is very clean and tidy; surely the most important feature anywhere! The shower is good, probably one of the benefits enjoyed by all rooms because they are at ground floor level so no water pressure problems! The rooms are very quiet and peaceful.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noisy in the summer?
The beer garden belonging to the next door pub couldn't be much nearer the B+B. It doesn't present a problem during the colder months but there is potential for noise during the summer.
negative:
Very bright … and very early.
Rooms can suffer as a result of the bright outside light, but it does go off eventually. If you fancy an early start, you've come to the right place. Breakfast finishes at 9am!
negative:
Work it out for yourself.
There's nothing in the room to tell you how things work ... how to access the Wi-Fi, etc. There are only eight rooms; it wouldn't be difficult to rattle something off to help guests.
