Guest liked the location of the hotel, just off the highway. This proximity made traveling to and fro to their destination very convenient. Also mentioned was that there were a number of restaurants in the area, so guests did not have to travel far to get a bite to eat.
The majority of guests felt that the complimentary breakfast was filling, tasty and better than expected given the category of hotel.
This was perhaps the most common, and most serious, complaint. Guests felt not only that the decor was dated and needed to be updated, but that the entire property was in a poor state as a result of years of neglect. Guests traveling at different times mentioned either that the pool was closed, or was in such a filthy state that it may as well have been, since nobody would use a pool in such a condition.
Considering the state of the hotel, and the listed facilities that were not usable, guests felt that the room rates should be rock bottom. They had, however, paid fairly typical rates for this category of hotel, and felt that they had received exceptionally poor value for money.
