    Broadlands is a Cotswold stone building set on a quiet street in Bourton-on-the-Water. Spacious rooms have a cosy feel. Tea and coffee facilities, flat screen TV with DVD player, hairdryer and radio alarm are standard. Broadlands Guest House serves breakfast only, in their lovely Victorian Conservatory. Luckily, there are dozens of restaurants, cafes and bars right outside your door such as Smiths of Bourton or Mary’s Rest Tearoom and Cafe. This non-smoking B & B offers family rooms. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are a plus. A three-minute walk will take you to Bourton-on-the-Water’s historic high street where you will find lots of shops, restaurants and pubs. Birdland Park and Gardens, The Cotswold Perfumery, the Model Railway Exhibition and Cotswold Leisure Centre, where you can go for a swim or enjoy a jacuzzi and sauna, are a short walk away.

    Broadlands Guest House is so cosy and relaxing that you’ll feel right at home. Clean rooms and comfortable beds are the icing on the cake.

    If you are on a walking tour then this is a great centrally-located spot for you to hang your hat. Located on a quiet street, yet close to lots of attractions, shops and eateries, won’t even need to get in your car until it’s time to head home.

    Not only is the staff warm and welcoming, but they are knowledgeable about the area and can regale you with entertaining stories about the history of the Cotswolds and things to do and see while you’re there.

    Spotty Wi-Fi coverage.

    Although there is supposed to be Wi-Fi in the guest rooms, the reception is anything but steady. The best place to get a strong Wi-Fi signal is in the lounge, which may prove inconvenient to some.

    No plugs by the mirror.

    If you are using a flat iron, curling iron or any other implement that requires electricity, be aware that there is no plug by the mirror in the bathroom, which means you may have to do your hair by feel.

    There’s no restaurant on property.

    Although Broadlands Guest House does serve breakfast, there isn’t a restaurant in the hotel itself. Luckily, there are dozens of choices right outside your door and someone from the staff will be happy to offer recommendations.
