The Ambrose Hotel is one of few hotels in the neighbourhood that allows dogs, making it favourable for dog owners. Most of the guests found the rooms to be spacious, enough for a family of five to be comfortable. Most of them found the room, including bathroom to be clean. Guests also found the room cosy, thanks to heaters in each room.

Karaoke events made it noisy at night
There are live late-night karaoke events in the hotel on Fridays and Saturdays, stretching over to midnight. Some guests, especially the ones on the first floor, were disturbed by the noise. However, the guests can request for a change of room to the second floor, if available.

The hotel has rooms on the first and second floor but there is no elevator access. Some guests, especially ones with older travellers, found this to be inconvenient.

Guests travelling for business purpose found the rooms to be uncomfortable. Some rooms only had a bar stool and no desk or chair to work. There have also been complaints of Wi-Fi not having good connectivity in some rooms.
