Golden Sails Hotel (Long Beach, USA)

The Best Western Golden Sails is convenient to beaches, restaurants, shops, cinemas and other Long Beach attractions. This location combined with clean and comfortable rooms, complimentary cooked breakfast, pool and hot tub and pleasant landscaped grounds made the hotel a great bargain for most guests. They had special praise for the buffet breakfast served in the hotel restaurant and enjoyed the marina view from the dining room.

Guests thought the central location was one of the best things about the hotel. Guests who stayed before embarking on a cruise from the nearby Port of Long Beach appreciated the special rates and parking arrangements for cruise passengers. Others enjoyed the numerous attractions in the area and the many shops and restaurants within easy walking distance while others were content to just lie beside the pool. Business travelers found the hotel convenient to Long Beach Airport and the Long Beach Convention Center.

The staff earned high praise from most guests who appreciated the friendly and helpful service.

Some guests complained that the room air conditioners didn't work well and were too noisy. Others noted that the California drought had created an increase in ants seeking water and were bothered by ants around the pool, in guest rooms and occasionally in guest beds.

The Best Western Golden Sails is a little past its prime according to some guests who complained about dated, dreary and cramped rooms; others felt that the entire hotel was in need of renovation.

Stained sheets, dirty carpets, hair on bathroom floors and clogged sinks caused some guests to complain about the quality of the housekeeping service at the Best Western Golden Sails. Poor Wi-Fi connection, non working microwaves and TVs were also reported.
