About Gardaland Hotel
Set within the Gardaland Theme Park, Gardaland Hotel offers
a unique fairy tale atmosphere with theme packages and amenities that will
delight and impress.
There are both classic and themed rooms. All feature air conditioning, flat screen TV, minibar and telephone, while the themed rooms are each based on a popular fairy tale.
The principle feature is undoubtedly the theme park, just 800 yards from the hotel, which has something to delight the whole family. There are also several meeting rooms available.
The Wonder Restaurant has both a buffet section, with a great variety of foods available, which is ideal for families, as well as a more sophisticated a la carte section. There is also a casual pool bar and a grander lobby bar on-site.
The main attraction is the Gardaland Theme Park, but guests will find the charming town of Peschiera, and the shores of Lake Garda, just two miles away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Fantastic fairy tale atmosphere
Of course the reason guests booked in at the Gardaland was to live out their, or their children's, fairy tale fantasies. It seems most were quite satisfied that the hotel and resort lived up to its end of the bargain by creating a lovely atmosphere were they could well believe they were living in a fairy tale world.
positive:
Nice swimming pool
Though it seems guests really didn't book this hotel for the pool, they were pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was. When the amusement park got a bit much they found it a great spot to relax and maybe take a quick dip.
positive:
Excellent staff
It was near impossible to find a bad word written about the staff. They were described as friendly, and with attitudes very much in keeping with the fun theme park atmosphere.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No in-room tea or coffee making facilities
While this wasn't mentioned often, those who did mention it were sorely disappointed to find no in-rooms tea or coffee making facilities. There were times when guests would have liked the ability to quickly make themselves a cuppa in their rooms with a minimum of fuss.
negative:
A bit far from the amusement park
Naturally, most guests were headed to the amusement park at various times during their stay. Some pointed out that the hotel was not really all that close to its entrance. Though one could walk, it would be a bit of a trek, especially with excited children in tow.
negative:
Problems with the restaurants
Though the food certainly wasn't described as terrible, it wasn't very well-reviewed either. Guests believed that the resort used its captive market to overcharge for all meals, especially breakfast, and also that there simply wasn't enough variety on offer to prevent boredom.
