Romney’s Kendal is a Gastro Pub & Restaurant with attached one, two and three-bedroom self-catering apartments. Free Wi-Fi and parking are among the available facilities.
Apartments are decorated in a contemporary style and feature wooden floors along with tiled bathrooms and open plan lounges with flat-screen TVs. Fully fitted kitchens are provided in all but the snug style apartments.
Facilities at Romneys Apartments & Suites include a garden with a terrace and a children’s play area. Pets are not allowed.
Breakfast is not included although the in-house chefs may be available to cook a light snack. The restaurant offers bar and tapas menus along with a once-weekly steak night and a daily four-meat carvery. Wines and real ales can be enjoyed in the bar.
Situated at the eastern edge of the Lake District National Park, the pub lies within an hour’s drive of both Windermere and Carlisle.

Reviewers said this property's location just off the A6 was conveniently a short drive from attractive Kendal town centre for museums and amenities plus shopping and dining options. Non-drivers welcomed having bus-stops nearby. Motorists welcomed the ample free parking and liked the proximity of the A591, A590 and M6 for uncomplicated access to golf courses, railway stations and area attractions. Outdoors enthusiasts were spoilt for choice with the stunning Lake District National Park on the doorstep and the Yorkshire Dales National Park also within striking distance.

Visitors spoke highly of the pleasant, professional and obliging personnel. Diners loved the food, friendly service and pleasant surroundings in the gastro-pub. The varied menu of reasonably-priced meals featuring local ingredients appealed to many as did the tapas snacks, carvery, yummy desserts and real ales. Families said they were well catered for thanks to the kids' menu and covered outdoor play area.
