There are lots of pubs, restaurants and shops in the immediate area … and some very useful take aways. Apartments are outside the city centre – but not by much. Aberdeen Harbour is about half a mile away and those arriving or departing have only a five mile journey to Dyce Airport.
If there’s a booking error on their part - *it can happen anywhere – they over compensate for the inconvenience with a price reduction and provide equal quality accommodation nearby. Now, that’s the way to run a business and encourage repeat business.
The street outside is busy and noisy and if you’ve never experienced the noise of seagulls at first light, this is the place to come! As a small crumb of comfort (*don’t feed it to the seagulls or they’ll never stop shouting!) the road noise isn’t as bad here as it is in the city centre proper.
The blinds are insufficient to stop the glaring early morning light flooding in. There are no curtains as a secondary weapon. They do a breakfast deal but it’s barely adequate and frankly a bit on the stale side. It’s best to buy in your requirements or patronise one of the nearby breakfast cafes.
There’s no power socket that is close to a mirror. Obvious problems occur with use of the hairdryer!
