Positive Reviews
positive:
Close, but still quiet
It's an easy walk to so much in this popular tourist area. Shopping, a variety of restaurants, and many attractions are in the same neighbourhood. Yet, the hotel still gives a sense of quiet and relaxation. For those who want to explore farther, a bus stop is just out front.
positive:
A comfortable stay
The price rates are nice and you get a great value for that money spent. The rooms are tidy and comfortable and the fully-equipped kitchenettes make for convenience. There is a small pool and large sun terrace. Also, the views of the harbour from some rooms are quiet stunning.
positive:
A pleasant staff
The staff is friendly and helpful and gives a very pleasant feel to the business side of things. The cleaning staff does nice work and provides daily towel exchanges. The management is also quite friendly and works hard to settle concerns.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Basement rooms are subpar
The hotel rooms in the basement are not the best deal. They offer little value and are dark. Many are also located next to the fitness room and the clanging of weights can be heard in the rooms.
negative:
The price of progress
The entire area is undergoing renovations and is in a state of flux. These improvements are needed, but do cause some inconvenience. The hotel itself is also being remodelled, which detracts from the pleasure with noise and closed amenities.
negative:
An okay stay
It's just an okay stay and the hotel is definitely short on luxury. Some areas, especially the bathrooms, need refurbished. The Wi-Fi is unreliable and the breakfast choices in the cafe are minimal with the food being bland.
