Positive Reviews
positive:
Trendy designer accommodation.
Rooms and suites on offer at the Clarion Post Gothenburg are beautifully decorated and appointed with comfortable beds and separate seating areas. All areas, including the spacious en-suites, are also immaculately clean, extremely well-appointed and well-maintained.
positive:
Knowledgeable, helpful staff.
Hotel staff are extremely knowledgeable about the city of Gothenburg and the best attractions and points of interest to visit. Front desk staff are fluent in English and will happily give directions to attractions, book tickets or arrange shuttles.
positive:
Excellent location.
Getting from the hotel room to whichever interesting destination one has planned in the city is extremely easy to do. Not only is the location ideally located to cheaper local public transport, a taxi rank is available just outside the hotel entrance and friendly desk staff can arrange larger shuttle services if needed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Certain rooms noisier than others.
Some rooms that are closer to the street as well as the popular dance club do experience more noise than rooms that are on the other side of the building. Light sleepers or travellers in town on business should enquire as to the availability of these rooms to ensure a more peaceful night.
negative:
Long corridors can be tiring.
Elderly guests or those with limited mobility may find that the long corridors in this hotel can get a bit much and should perhaps rather opt for rooms that are located closer to the hotel lifts.
negative:
Tedious Wi-Fi, cold bathroom floors.
A number of guests have remarked on the
lack of adequate underfloor heating in the tiled en-suite bathrooms which can
be quite unpleasant if barefoot. Another minor issue is the lack of a
consistent Wi-Fi signal coupled with a tedious Wi-Fi sign in process which is
necessary every time internet access is required.
