About Lumia

The Lumia farmhouse is located a few hundred meters from the sea near the town of Riposto, on the slopes of Etna, it is surrounded by greenery, mainly lemon trees, in Sicilian called lumia hence the name, close to 45 minutes from the beautiful tourist town of Taormina, as well as the beaches of Isola Bella; the beach begins after the town of Riposto, about 5 minutes by car from the farmhouse and extends for tens of kilometres. Also worth visiting is the coast towards Catania with the towns of Acireale, beautiful to see from Piazza Indirizzo (the villa) to Piazza San Sebastiano, the town of Acitrezza further towards Catania is also beautiful with a beautiful seafront and the rock stacks, islets that Legend has it that they were thrown by Polyphemus to Ulysses, then continuing towards Catania there is the town of Acicastello with the square where the castle is and finally the center of Catania is worth visiting, obviously there are many places to see the gorges of Alcantara, and many other places less than 1 hour's drive from our Lumia farmhouse; Ideal place to relax, free bicycles, table tennis, table football, Italian and international breakfast.
