The Serpepe Farm Agritourism is situated within the confines of 200 hectares of biological agriculture. Over 600 sheep pasture in the surrounding fields and are milked daily. Guests of the agritourism are welcome to visit the stalls and watch at milking time. A few yards from the villa the impressive white “Chianine Cows” can be admired. Wild pigs of the race “Cinta Senese” live in the surrounding woods and their meat is used to produce our exquisite biological pork products. Every week a superb cheese and enticing ricotta are made according to an ancient tradition using fresh ewe milk; an excellent extra virgin olive oil is produced with olives from the ancient “Canino” trees growing in the olive grove; and the poultry and vegetable garden provide fresh organic eggs and vegetables. Guests can acquire our biological products, cook them in the tranquillity of their apartments, and acquaint themselves with flavours long since forgotten. As a guest of the Serpepe Farm, you have an opportunity to live immersed in nature in a tranquil and peaceful setting, while experiencing healthy and simple country life. You can rediscover the values and traditions of life on a farm in close contact with the animals in an uncontaminated countryside. What better way to observe a fascinating world so very different from city living? The basalt- and tufastone farmhouse consists of four splendid apartments with fireplaces (accommodating 4 to 6 people each) and two double bedrooms with private baths, all with central heating and exquisitely decorated with antique furniture for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The kitchens and bathrooms are fully equipped and well kept, linen is provided, and there is a common laundry room. The Serpepe Farm is situated in the center of “Tuscia”, that magical triangle formed by Lazio, Umbria and Toscana, in the heart of Etruscan Civilization. It is 6 km from the shores of Lake Bolsena (island tours, and sparkling bathing waters) and 10 km from the ancient spa baths of Viterbo (special prices for our guests). The territory contains a precious historical heritage in an exceptional conglomerate of Etruscan necropolis and Medieval churches and castles. A dreamland of places to go and things to see for whoever enjoys discovering the beauties of which this countryside has been generously bestowed. - It is no coincidence that the Etruscans chose this area as their home! Rome is only an hour away; Orvieto, (with its breathtaking “Dome”), 30 km; the medieval “City of the Popes” ( i.e. Viterbo) 12 km,; the sea and the archaeological sites of Tarquinia and Vulci only a half an hour away. Then there are the friendly, picturesque villages of: Civita di Bagnoregio, Montefiascone, Tuscania, Bomarzo, Capodimonte, Marta, and Bolsena among countless others. Even the famous cities of art, like Siena, Arezzo, Assisi and Florence are easily accessible from the Serpepe Farm.
