The place has obviously undergone some extensive renovation work, and the bar and restaurant are very inviting. There are even some leather chairs by the fire, and you'll find that the rooms are just as comfy and well maintained.
For such a small place the in-room amenities are fantastic. The beds are comfortable, and there's a DVD player to go along with the Sky digital service. You'll also see a Nespresso machine that's perfect for an early morning cup.
If you are after a full English during the week, then you'll have to find it elsewhere as there are only continental options available. This doesn't sit well with some guests that have paid a premium for their rooms only to find a poor offering at breakfast.
The people that work here can be quite cold to the guests especially in the morning. It's not a great start to the day when the staff won't even smile at you or say good morning. Not very customer focused at all.
