About The Gap Lodge
The Gap Lodge offers award-winning bed and breakfast accommodation just outside of the Barnesmore Gap Natural Heritage Area, less than a ten-minute drive away from downtown Donegal. This family-run B&B has a lovely garden, a guest lounge with comfortable chairs and parquet flooring and home-cooked breakfasts that are flexible for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diners.

Guests were touched by the warm welcome they received here and described the host as being friendly, full of great local tips on where to go and what to eat, and generally lovely. Furthermore, this B&B is apparently only a ten-minute drive away from downtown Donegal, in a calm countryside spot that guests mentioned as being a great location for staying in while visiting for events at Lough Eske, or while passing through on a larger Ireland trip.

The cooked breakfasts served up here were said to be big enough to satisfy even the largest of appetites, these were also thought to taste wonderful, there were some tasty baked goods on offer alongside the cooked options and the host apparently even catered to special dietary needs.

Cosy, attractive and clean lodgings
According to reviews, the rooms on offer in this house looked great, had equally excellent comfort, were nice and warm and came equipped with en-suite bathrooms that had plenty of hot water. People also very much appreciated the fact that there were some cosy common areas to chill out in and the standard of cleanliness throughout was thought to be excellent.
