The villa is situated in a quiet residential area and is surrounded by its own private gardens which provide a very peaceful and picturesque backdrop. Most of the rooms have sea views and guests said that watching the sunsets over the harbour was a truly memorable experience.
Guests welcomed the opportunity of relaxing on the sun beds in the garden as well as being able to cool off in the salt water pool which was said to be clean and warmed to a pleasant temperature. Many thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the wrap-around porch and taking in the picture-postcard views of the spectacular surrounding scenery.
The owner was described as friendly and hospitable often willing to go the extra mile in order to make the guests feel welcome and well looked after. Many appreciated being given interesting information with regards to the history of the building and welcomed the useful suggestions regarding where to dine and what to see in the area. The waiting staff were described as equally attentive and courteous.
Guests said that they too warm in their rooms due to a lack of air-conditioning units. Those who stayed during the cooler months said that they felt rather cold as there are no electrical heaters in the rooms.
The continental buffet was described as being quite meagre with only a handful of cold items available. Guest said they would have preferred a better choice of food as well as some hot options.
There is no lift in the building and guests who were on the higher floors said they had to struggle with heavy luggage up several flights of stairs.
