The Peace & Plenty Inn is housed in an elegant 19th building being just minutes away from many of the attractions in St Augustine. A variety of suites are available ranging from one to four bedrooms with some featuring fully-equipped kitchens. Guests will be pleased to find flat-screen televisions, air-conditioning units, free Wi-Fi and ironing equipment in their rooms. All of the en-suites have whirlpool baths and gas fireplaces Complimentary fresh breakfasts are available on-site and free drinks are served throughout the day. Sherry and cake are on offer in the evenings. There is a pleasant courtyard complete with fountains and a fire pit as well as a cozy and comfortable parlor. Guests can have their lunch and evening meals at some of the local restaurants such as Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille and Raintree Restaurant. Flagler College and Villa Zorayda Museum are in close proximity to the inn.
The inn is tucked away in a residential area meaning that guests could enjoy peaceful and relaxing evenings. Many appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle yet within walking distance of many of the town’s landmarks. As there isn’t a restaurant on the premises, guests found it very handy being just a short stroll away from numerous bistros and cafes.
Guests said they felt well-looked after during their entire stay and said that the staff and the owners often went out of their way to help and assist them on various occasions. Many appreciated the useful tips and advice with regards to the local area by the front-desk staff and particularly enjoyed the complimentary wine and cake evenings which they said was a perfect opportunity to relax and socialize.
The food on offer at breakfast was highly complimented by many who stayed here. Guests were impressed with the wide selection of items on offer and said that the cooked dishes were very tasty and well-prepared.
Guests who stayed in the suite on the ground floor said that they were often disturbed by the sound of footsteps from the occupants above them due to the poor soundproofing.
The on-site parking lot was described as being quite small meaning that guests with larger vehicles experienced difficulties trying to squeeze into the tight spaces available.
Guests who stayed in the carriage house said that the rooms could barely accommodate two people as there was limited space available to move around in between the furniture. Not enough hanging space and drawers meant that guests found it difficult to stow away all their belongings.
