A characterful 1930's villa converted into a light and airy luxury chambre d'hotes, Les Sapins is set in glorious tree-filled grounds with a swimming pool and a small river flowing by. Most rooms have a private balcony and all have private bath/shower rooms, garden/mountain views, coffee machine, free wifi, flat-screen TV and quality toiletries. A delicious continental breakfast is included. Les Sapins B&B is superbly located at the border of the beautiful Pyrénées Ariégeoises Regional Park, just south of Foix (7 minutes) and not far from the N20 (3 minutes). It is ideal for those travelling to Andorra and Spain but is also a handy base for exploring the many natural and tourist sites of Ariège. Close by is the famous cave at Niaux with its prehistoric paintings, the outstanding Forges de Pyrène museum and the stunning underground river of Labouiche. You can visit the giants of the Ice Age at the Parc de la Préhistoire. There are numerous outdoor activities within easy reach and the area abounds with footpaths and quiet country lanes. Nearby Foix, with its emblematic medieval castle, boasts numerous restaurants catering for a wide variety of tastes.
